Coming Soon: New DVR+ Event Logging and Review Capabilities for Subsea Inspections

A new DVR+ software release is coming soon from SubC Imaging, bringing new eventing and review capabilities designed to support faster, more structured subsea inspection workflows.

Built for inspection and survey workflows, the upcoming release will introduce new tools for live event tagging, post-dive review, and structured export, helping teams move from video capture to report-ready event logs with less manual work, fewer errors, and faster post-dive reporting.

A More Connected Workflow for Inspection Events

During subsea inspections, important findings often need to be logged as they happen, then reviewed, corrected, and organized after the dive. In many workflows, that process still relies on separate notes, spreadsheets, or voice logs that sit outside the recorded video and take extra time to clean up later.

The upcoming DVR+ release is designed to improve that process by bringing more of the event workflow into one connected system.

With the new eventing capabilities, operators will be able to tag notable events during live operations with timestamps linked to the recorded footage. After the dive, project teams will be able to review, validate, enrich, and prepare those events for delivery using a dedicated post-dive review environment.

The result is a more streamlined path from live inspection to final reporting.

What’s Coming in the New DVR+ Release

The new release will expand DVR+ beyond recording and overlay by supporting a more complete event capture workflow.

Planned capabilities include:

  • Live event tagging with timestamped, structured metadata

  • Post-dive review tools to clean up, enrich, and validate event data

  • Structured export for report-ready logs and client deliverables

  • Video-synced event records for faster QA and traceability

  • A modern, easy-to-use interface designed for smoother inspection workflows

Together, these features are designed to help inspection teams reduce manual steps, improve event accuracy, and create cleaner deliverables for clients.

Built for Real Inspection Workflows

“Customers already saw strong value in DVR+ for recording and overlay, and through interviews and feedback sessions we heard a clear need for a more connected eventing workflow,” said Adam Rowe, VP of Software at SubC Imaging. “Many teams still rely on workarounds like paper notes, spreadsheets, or voice logs alongside the video record, which can slow review and reporting. This release is designed to bring live eventing, post-dive review, and structured export together in a more modern workflow so teams can work faster, improve consistency, and deliver stronger inspection data.”

By supporting live tagging, post-dive review, and structured export in one connected workflow, DVR+ will help teams reduce manual effort, improve deliverable credibility, and move faster from dive completion to final reporting. Instead of piecing together disconnected logs after the fact, users will be able to work from timestamped, video-synced event data that is easier to validate, export, and share.
